Home Assistant to General Secretariat of the Mufti Office

The functions of General Secretariat at the Mufti's Office:
  1. Doing the scientific and cultural participation in conferences, seminars and lectures.
  2. Contributing in the preparation of vacation program for staff in the Secretariat.
  3. Following- up the subjects transferred to the departments, and preparing the analytical studies to identify the causes for delay in completing the transactions.
  4. Preparing the analytical studies in terms of delay problem in completing the subjects, and submitting proposals and solutions required.
  5. Receiving the requests of Fatwas and supervising the process of sorting as well distributing them to the sheikhs and following up their completion.
  6. Taking the necessary actions fornew Muslims coming from other religions and following- up their affairs.
  7. Preparing researches, studies and reports in different sciences related to Fatwas.
  8. Following-up, developing and documenting the cultural relations and ties among the Mufti' Office, researchers and other external parties.

It includes the following divisions:
A- Office of the Secretary General: is specialized in the following:
  1. Doing the coordination work of Secretary-General, in terms of receiving and recording the outgoing and incoming, as well maintaining and organizing the files of Secretary-General's Office and organizing its dates and interviews.
  2. Preparing the meetings chaired by the Secretary-General or participating in its membership plus keeping its records.
  3. Coordinating with the departments for preparing the scientific and cultural participation in conferences, seminars and lectures.
  4. Organizing the meetings attended by the Secretary-General.

The Secretary-General's Office includes the following two divisions:
B- The Coordination and Follow-up Department:
  1. Organizing the dates and interviews of the Secretary General.
  2. Preparing the meetings in which the Secretary General participates, and setting up the subjects, documents and studies required for such meetings and as well writing their records.
  3. Transferring the Secretary General'sdirectives to the concerned authorities and following- up their completion.
  4. Receiving all subjects to be submitted to the Secretary-General, completing the papers and documents to be attached and preparing a summary of works, if possible, before presenting to the Minister.
  5. Doing all written works and keeping papers and documents.
  6. Any other tasks are commissioned by the Secretary-General.

The Department of Administrative Affairs: is specialized in the following:
  1. Receiving and preparing the needs of departments, including the stationery and office supplies.
  2. Contributing to the preparation of vacation of employees throughout the year.
  3. Receiving theusual vacation requests, and taking actions of its ratification as well registering them in the cards and records.
  4. Completing the procedures related to the emergency and sick leave.
  5. Organizing an archive of official, secret and private correspondence sent to the Ifta' Office when required.

Coordination and Follow-up Department:
  1. Receiving, recording, and distributing the subjects regarding Ifta' Office, as well organizing and archiving their files.
  2. Imaging and distributingthe ministerial and administrative resolutions and circulars to the departments of the Ifta' Office.
  3. Following up the subjects transferred to the departments, and preparing the analytical studies to identify the causes for delay in completing the transactions.
  4. Preparing monthly reports about the achievements of departments and sections of the Ifta' Office.
  5. Preparing the meetings and following up their results.

This division includes the following departments:
Coordinating Department:
  1. Doing correspondence works, in term of receiving, recording, distributing and keeping their files.
  2. Making contacts related to works and telephone calls.
  3. Organizing the conservation work of files, reports, warrants and others.
  4. Preparingthe meetings.
  5. Distributing the circulars and resolutions issued by the unit chief.

Following up Department:
  1. Following up the completion of subjects referred to the departments to identify their position on achievement.
  2. Preparing the analytical studies on the problems of delay in completing the subjects and submitting the necessary proposals and solutions thereon.
  3. Following- up the preparation' results to hold and prepare the meetings.
  4. Preparing monthly report on the completion of subjects received to the office.

Fatwa Department:
  1. Receiving Fatwas' requests to be sorted and submitted to sheikhs and following - up their completion.
  2. Recording, classifying Fatwas, and keeping them in files according to their subject.
  3. Following-up and developing cultural relations and tiesmong the Mufti' Office, scientists, researchers and other external bodies.
  4. Taking the necessary actions fornew Muslims coming from other religions and following- up their affairs.
  5. Preparing the scientific material for issuing Fatwas and unloading them in books, audio and video tapes.
  6. Preparing researches, studies and reports in the different sciences related to Fatwas.

The division includes the following departments:
Department of Fatwas: is specialized in the following:
  1. Receiving the Fatwas ' issues from their owners and sorting them after checking that they are Fatwas' issues.
  2. Distributing the issues to Sheikhs and following-up their completion.
  3. Stamping and imagingFatwas after issuance and then delivering them to their owners.
  4. Recording Fatwas in files and writing them according their topics.
  5. Preparing the statistics required on Fatwas.
  6. Providing the domestic newspapers and magazines with Fatwas required for publishing.

Relations and Cultural Exchange Department: is specialized in the following:
  1. Following-up and developing the cultural relations among the Office of the Grand Mufti and foreignauthorities.
  2. Providing the scientific parties (official or non-official) with religious scientific books and materials (audio or video computer tapes).
  3. Documenting therelations and ties among His Eminence Mufti, scientists and researchers.
  4. Taking the necessary actions fornew Muslims coming from other religions and following- up their affairs from inside an outside the Ministry.
  5. Coordinating with other departments in the preparation for scientific and cultural conferences, seminars and lectures.

Research and Studies Department: is specialized in the following:
  1. Preparing the scientific material required to issue Fatwas about different issues.
  2. Preparing the answers to scientific issues and messages received to the Grand Mufti and the Secretary General's Office.
  3. Preparing research, studies and reports in different sciences related to Fatwas.
  4. Preparing the paper workin order to participate in religious conferences, seminars and lectures.
  5. Unloading the scientific materials of recorded video and audio tapesto the Grand Mufti.
  6. Following-up what is issued by the Grand Mufti of Fatwas in newspapers, magazines and radio.
  7. Providing the Department of Fatwas with the answers referred to them.
  8. Preparing and issuing Fatwasbooks issued by the Office.
  9. Reviewingthe published books and subjects or required for publishing in terms of legitimacy aspect and preparing reports on them.
